Introducing a desktop network socket that eliminates the hassle of searching for wall or floor sockets behind or under furniture. Simply place it wherever you desire, connect with a patch cable, and enjoy seamless usage! Inspired by hotel desks, this innovative design replaces the conventional Velcro solution for added fun. To create this desktop socket, you need two extra components: a "back to back" network coupler (purchased from Amazon for £0.33 UKP - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000MQM2FS/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00) and two counter-sink "number 2" screws (inexpensive, available at http://www.modelfixings.co.uk). Optionally, use old screws, fishing weights, ball bearings, or other weights for added weight on the desk. For printing, set the plate with a 0.2mm layer and the dome with high-quality 0.1mm layers; a 15% infill is sufficient. The dome has two hollow compartments on either side and a rectangular slot for the network coupler (with or without a patch cable). Fill these compartments with weights, apply glue to prevent rattling, then place the plate over the top and screw in the two screws. Finally, plug in your patch cable and place the socket on your desk for easy use!
