Desktop Laser Turret with Kinect Head Tracking

thingiverse

Protect your space with a cutting-edge desktop laser turret, tracking enemies' corneas using Kinect's depth technology. Check out the preview at http://youtu.be/5igo_fVqvLI and how it works in action at http://youtu.be/tMSnQYZAMJc. Ensure to wear laser safety goggles according to your laser's wavelength! The turret is compatible with any cheap DX.com laser (currently a 200 mW green one, adjustable via internal potentiometer). Sketchup files are available for customization. Use epoxy adhesive to assemble the servo clips on the printed pieces. Access the Arduino code at this link and the Kinect code (still in progress) here. Find the source code on Github for further tweaking: https://github.com/eried/LaserTurretKinect
