Desktop lamp

Hello, Having some LED strips on hand and knowing two of my kids needed lamps for their desks, I invested some time crafting this initial version of a desktop lamp. I completed the black one, but some images show me building a white one as well. I also had some metal circular weights that fit perfectly inside the casing, and they work great as weight. You can use any material that fits inside the cavity if you prefer. A piece of 1 cm x 1 cm x 35 cm iron square tubing was used for the frame, which I painted to give it a finished look. The transformers are LP-16-350 models that I had stored away and never used. This project is more about recycling materials than anything else. Maybe you'll find this inspiring enough to build your own lamp using leftover parts. Some images show how to connect the LED strips inside the lamp's cavity. Thanks for watching!
