Fortunately, the part that attaches to the desk edge fit perfectly into place without needing any screws. My desktop measures 27.1 mm (1.06 in) in thickness.\r\n\r\nThe small fork-shaped clip on the end is intended to hold the laptop power cord in place, which should also provide a secure friction fit.
