The symbiotic bond between plants and fish is showcased in this ingenious self-sustained fishbowl aquaponics. This revolutionary system cleverly separates the plant roots from the fishbowl environment. Inspired by a solution for my partner's project, this innovative creation was born. The upper growing chamber, built above a standard fishbowl purchased at Wal-Mart, is completely isolated from the aquatic life below. This ingenious separation enables the root zone to thrive unimpeded, reaching its full growth potential without any adverse effects on the life-giving waters beneath. As a natural filter, the plant absorbs and purifies the waste generated by the fish, while the fish serves as a fertilizer, enriching the surrounding water with nutrients. This harmonious relationship between plants and fish ensures seamless maintenance for both life forms above and below the surface. To sustain an optimal aquatic environment, aerated water is pumped into the root chamber via airlift pump, supplying oxygen to the roots while keeping air bubbles from the surrounding waters. This versatile setup allows users to house a diverse array of fish, such as still-water favorites Beta Fish and Gold Fish. For its official unveiling, this pioneering project has been released for beta testing. We invite constructive feedback to improve its design and performance. It is essential to note that "Desktop Fishbowl Aquaponics" holds patent pending status.
