Desktop CNC handwheel
thingiverse
These handwheels attach directly to lead screws on a desktop router for effortless manual adjustment of bed position. The Y-axis wheel mounts securely to the protruding portion of the lead screw at the front of the frame. These wheels will work seamlessly with any router featuring 8mm lead screws and suitable mounting space. As printed on my Creality CR-10S, it is a flawless friction fit - simply press it over the lead screw. The X-axis wheel is mounted by loosening the lead screw and gently pulling it out of its coupler. Next, tighten the set screws below the edge of the hole and slide the wheel over the coupler (with the large end facing forward) until the set screw reaches the end of the slot on the shaft. This slot allows for precise fine-tuning of the position. Then loosen the set screws, insert the lead screw, and secure the set screws tightly. The barrel of the handwheel fits perfectly within the opening of the spindle mount. If it binds, simply file down the edges of the set screw slots. The wheel reduces Y-axis travel by approximately 1mm. If end stops are installed, you may need to adjust the right X-axis switch accordingly.
