A Quick SketchUp Design of a Snowball Mountain This sketch will cover the basics of creating a quick mountain design using SketchUp. It's perfect for when you need to create a simple landscape in a short amount of time. To begin, make sure your model is at an adequate level. If it's not already at 0 on the Z axis, click the "Orbit" tool and use the mouse wheel to bring it down. Once it's there, select the "Push/Pull" tool and start creating your mountain shape by clicking and dragging the mouse. As you create your mountain, remember that it should have three sides: left, right, and center. The left side is where the snow will be, while the right side is where the mountain gets its slope. You can use the "Push/Pull" tool to give your mountain some depth by clicking and dragging on the left side. Next, you'll want to add a path or road that leads up to the top of your mountain. To do this, select the "Line" tool and draw a line from the base of the mountain to the top. You can then use the "Push/Pull" tool again to give it some height. To finish off your design, you'll want to add some details such as trees and rocks. For trees, you can use the "Line" tool to draw branches and leaves. For rocks, you can use the "Sphere" tool to create a round shape. And that's it! You now have a quick SketchUp design of a snowball mountain.
