Desktop AC (Air Conditioning) Peltier Unit

This mini AC is designed for large open plan offices with high ceilings, where natural light and ventilation are scarce. It's perfect for those areas that feel like a sweltering oven due to the lack of windows, providing a refreshing cool breeze to make your workspace more comfortable. However, this unit isn't suitable for smaller spaces or entire rooms as it's not powerful enough to cool an area efficiently. In fact, Peltier coolers operate by producing heat, which can even counteract their cooling effect. But with some modifications, such as venting the heat outside, you might be able to cool a small room. To build this mini AC, you'll need the following components: * 2 x 40mmx40mmx3mm Peltier Cooler Units (I'm using 24v 6amp units from AliExpress) * A suitable PSU that can provide enough voltage and current for the Peltiers and fans (I'm using a 250watt HP power pack with a 20v output, along with a custom connector or replacement power connector) * 2 x 40mmx40mmx28mm fans to generate cold air flow (I'm currently using high-RPM SanAce40 fans with a 0.18amp draw) * Large heatsinks for the hot side and cool side (I used spare heatsinks from an old dehumidifier, including two 50mmx106mmx45mm units and one 143mmx61mmx55mm unit) * A drip tray to collect any condensation (I repurposed a spare drip tray from an old dehumidifier) * A 24v 120mmx25mm fan for the top (this is just a standard fan with no special features) * A DPDT switch to control the Peltiers and 120mm Fan, allowing you to select between two power levels * An automatic variable speed PC fan controller for the 120mm Fan, which will allow it to run at varying speeds based on need * A simple manual fan speed controller for the 40mm fans, enabling you to adjust their flow as required I've also added a temperature switch that cuts off the main power if the hot side heatsink or general temperature exceeds 95 deg C, helping to prevent potential fire risks in case of a fan failure and subsequent heat buildup.
