It holds 7 writing instruments at any given time. The owner's goal was to personalize it with their own name, hence the underlined effect visible on its front side. For an unknown reason, my OpenScad program keeps omitting the text when I attempt to render it. I would appreciate your input if you can explain why this happens. As it stands, I envision a customizer where individuals can input the desired text, enhancing the design's versatility. The final product should exude elegance and sophistication, prompting users to request nice pens or writing instruments rather than just any standard ones. The underlined element originates from one side of the stand, thus negating the need for support material during printing. This deliberate design choice provides additional support to letters printed above the underline, granting them stability without the need for extraneous materials. Without the supporting function of the underline, individual characters like 'g' and 'y' may experience instability due to their inherent positioning under the printed text. I composed the OpenScad script using a Linux-based machine, employing standard Unix-style line breaks as is conventional on this operating system. Unfortunately, these formatted lines might confuse software such as Microsoft's notepad when opened for review. For a smoother and more organized visual representation, consider using a capable editor like jedit or notepad++.
