Desk plane- Arsenal VG-33 C1
thingiverse
This is a desk model of the Arsenal VG-33 C1, WWII French fighter airplane. I designed it from scratch using only a 3-view picture as my reference. It's a simplified rendition, minus the bottom cooler and intake vents, as well as the guns, which allows for a sleeker design. Before you begin printing, ensure your slicer and printer are capable of handling thin walls with ease. Additionally, print the middle fuselage section with the cockpit facing upwards unless you opt to use supports. Each part - wings and fuselage - must be printed on their flat surfaces. The propeller and stand will require support structures for a successful print job. To assemble the model, short lengths of 0.8mm steel wire or similar materials can be used as joints, allowing you to align the parts before applying glue. EDIT: I've replaced the fuse_middle part with an updated version that features a cockpit cavity, making it easier to print. EDIT 2: The fuse_middle part has been revised once more, and I've added extra tolerance to the wing pockets for improved printing results. EDIT 3: For the third time, I've modified the fuse_middle part, this time remembering to include the hole for the stand.
