We recently relocated our office and are now situated side by side in front of each other's computer screens. As a result, we decided that a panel was necessary to give the desk a more polished look. I created these using 123D Design, adding holes to the posts for printing with 30% infill, which helps make them stiffer. These holes can be used with M6 screws. To create the panels, I printed them with Colorfabb XT and used 4 outer shells along with 30% infill for extra stiffness. The aluminum tubes used are 40mm x 2.5mm and 50mm long. When working with the tube ends, I preferred to chamfer mine on a lathe; however, it will still work fine if you only cut them straight. You can find out more about how I made these by watching my video here: https://youtu.be/kD3UZZete6A?list=UUG334M4w0pPkZ4bZg1lEKcg For further information or to try the project for yourself, check out my instructions on Instructables.
