Desk Organizer

Desk Organizer

The intended design helps classmates with virtual learning by allowing the user easy access to their main utensils needed throughout the school day. The bottom holds up to three notebooks, keeping them organized from the rest of the desk. The top has a pen holder, and in front of the holder is a slot for the user’s air pod case. There is an extra section to the left for miscellaneous objects such as sticky notes, but this feature also doubles as a horizontal phone stand. Finally, in between the pencil holder and the misc. section, the user can store note cards. I came up against issues regarding the design of the phone stand, and fitting objects that I thought were necessary onto the desk organizer. If I could redesign the organizer, I would create an effective yet discrete calculator stand. I would do this by adding more parts and making an assembly. 3D printing would help strengthen my design by making the holder more lightweight than any other material. This makes the organizer easier to transfer from place to place.
