Desk Organizer

Desk Organizer

thingiverse

The goal of this design is to help students keep their desks organized and help them view phone or book without added neck strain. On the left side, there is an extendable arm that allows for bigger objects or open books to be placed in the holder. The drawers on the left side along with the small top slot allow for the containment of easily losable objects such as paper clips or rubber bands. The pencil holder is a large size to hold many writing utensils and is also lined up with the holder for aesthetics and allowing for a longer book if necessary. On the right side is an attached paper holder with two slots and an attached headphone stand and key holder. The issues I came up against were deciding on how to combat book size, drawer placement, and placement of features. I also had trouble trying to make the organizer ascetically pleasing. If I could change anything I would probably change the pencil cup placement, the phone holder size, and maybe the arm design. 3D printing benefits my design because it allows for easier and faster production of the sharp-angled design. It also allows for more aesthetics to be incorporated and for and overall smoother product. I was also not able to change the orientation of the stl for some reason I am sorry. I think the Thingiverse should still work but I included screenshots just in case
