My Project Statement: For this Makerbot Challenge, I designed a backpack desk organizer to help students learn virtually or in the classroom by organizing their school supplies into one tidy spot. The main compartment of the backpack is a hollow space, big enough to contain notebooks and papers. There is a water bottle holder on the left side of the main compartment for students to have a drink close by while they study. There is also a drawer on the front to hold an eraser or a pencil sharpener. Underneath the drawer, there are two compartments to hold pencils and a calculator. Finally, there is a narrow space just enough to slide in a ruler. As I designed this project on Tinkercad, some issues I came up against were thinking of making it practical and making learning more accessible and fun. I had trouble coming up with ways to incorporate the necessary school supplies needed for studying.
