Desk Organizer

I needed a simple desk organizer that would blend in seamlessly with my living room's decor where our family computer desk is situated. After searching around, I couldn't find anything that matched the style of my home, so I took matters into my own hands and made one myself. The result is basically just a cup attached to a wider tray base for stability and added functionality. This tray provides a convenient place to store those hard-to-find items you need to keep handy at your desk. The outer edges of the tray feature a smooth filet, making it easy to remove items – especially coins and other flat things – by simply sliding them up and out. If you frequently use paperclips or other metal objects, I've created an alternative design with one of the larger compartments magnetized and featuring a slight depression to keep a pile of them organized. For those interested in replicating this feature, I've included a photo of the magnets I used, hoping that you can find the same ones. If not, I've also provided the Fusion 360 archive and STEP file for your convenience, allowing you to modify the design to accommodate different size magnets (mine measured 5.1mm x 5.6mm x 6.2mm). I printed my organizer in Prusement Galaxy Black, which looks sleek and elegant on my desk. The print required no supports, and the one shown was printed at a 0.2mm layer height, yielding excellent results. However, if you want the filets and recessed paperclip area to be extra smooth, I recommend using a 0.1mm layer height or even thinner.
