A holder for a standard 1.5" x 8" x 1/16" name plate (28 x 203 x 1.5 mm). Actual length is 205 mm to prevent the nameplate from hanging over the edge which I feel is worse than a tiny bit longer. The fit is fairly loose to allow for imperfections or different thicknesses of name plates. To get around this you can either use some tack, a shim, or, if the nameplate material is heat resistant enough, use a heat gun to tighten the brackets down a bit on the plate after it's inserted. I made this in Blender and included the file. It would be simple enough to extend it vertically or horizontally to fit 2" tall and/or 10" long name plates.
