Desk Mounted Headphone Holder

It has a simple design that preserves the top and edges of your desk by mounting to the underside! The 'Desk Mounted Headphone Holder' was designed to accommodate a wide range of headphones with headbands up to 2.3 inches in width. It prints easily without supports, requiring minimal or no cleanup on the screw holes. The holder sits flush against the edge of the desk, creating a clean and unobtrusive look. You can easily sand it down and then paint it to match the color of your desk. A version was added to fit a 16mm thick desk top, as requested by user 'tgilles' on October 30, 2017. Happy printing! How to mount: The 'Desk Mounted Headphone Holder' uses screws with diameters between 3 and 3.5mm. The screw holes are exactly 3.5mm in diameter, so feel free to use screws you feel are suitable. I held the print in place and used a pointed tool to indent the underside of the desk as a guide for my drill. I made very shallow pilot holes since the screws are somewhat self-tapping. The head of the screws will sit beneath the surface of the print, as the holes have a 7mm counter-bore. From the bottom of the mounting arm to the top of the holder is about 27mm. The bottom of the mounting arm will rest on the underside of the desk, so this model may not be suitable for desks thinner than 27mm. The desk shown in the photos is an Ikea 'Linnmon' table top that measures 34mm wide. Printing: Supports: Not needed Layer Height: 0.15 (it can also be printed at 0.2 as seen in the pictures) Print Orientation: Print this model with the front facing down on the print bed. Material: PLA or ABS (I used PLA)
