I created this for the practical use of band instrument repair. Whenever I work on a smaller woodwind instrument, I am seated at a desk and I use an LED light to detect where the pads are not correctly seated on the instrument. When I take the light out to do adjustments, sometimes it falls to the ground. I got tired of that happening, so I designed this small holder to mount on to a desk.
