UPDATE 28JAN2018: A "WIDE" model has been added, capable of accommodating headphone headbands up to 55mm wide, a significant upgrade from the original model's 45mm limit. A notable update was made to the screw design. The "Long" version is now able to grip onto a table that measures only 1mm in thickness, an overkill measure but one taken to ensure users have options that will work for their specific needs. The original screw leaves a noticeable 17mm gap, making it unsuitable for tables or desks thinner than 17mm. In this case, the long screw is highly recommended. This design was inspired by another excellent headphone mount found on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1657541 A problem arose when the original headphone mount cracked after repeated use. Rather than seeking a redesign from the original creator, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a new version. My primary objectives for this design were to create a smaller, stronger, and more ergonomic holder with deeper grooves for headphone cords than the popular Monster Mouth Headphone Holder. I also aimed to eliminate any sharp edges that could potentially scratch myself or my headphones' ear seals during use. Print Settings: Printer: Hatchbox Alpha Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25mm (250 micron) Infill: 20% Notes: With a resolution of 0.25mm, the holder and screw took approximately 3.5 hours to print. A 20% infill density appears to provide sufficient strength for this design.
