Desk Mount For Hanging Lamp w/ Shade

I needed a desk lamp without resorting to wall or ceiling fixtures. The flange attaches securely behind my monitor, nestled against the edge of my desk. I trimmed two sections from a dowel rod, making one piece noticeably longer than the other. To create stability and adjustability, I positioned the longest part as the height component and angled the shorter section out over the desktop. To complete this project, you will require a 1/2" x 36" dowel rod, a hanging lamp cord, and an LED light bulb. I utilized leftover Spax #8 1 1/4" screws from another endeavor, but the design should accommodate almost any screw type. When selecting your hanging lamp cord, be aware that I've provided a clip for round cable and flat cable. Additionally, refrain from using regular incandescent bulbs due to heat concerns. You can opt for CFL bulbs under 60w, but I recommend the Great Value LED bulbs for their superior performance. To print the lamp shade, set infill to 0% and adjust other settings to 15-20%. This design is compatible with my PacMan light shades as well as any lamp shade created using the Fusion 360 Lampshade Tutorial. To prevent the lamp shade from sliding down onto the bulb, I've designed a ring that fits around unthreaded hanging lamp cords.
