Desk Mount for Anker 6 Port USB Charger

I love keeping my workspace organized, so I created a clever solution to mount my Anker 6-Port USB Charger on the side of my desk. Since I'm also passionate about minimizing waste, I designed this project in just five pieces that I glued together: one core holder, one horizontal mounting plate, and three vertical supports. This design is specifically tailored for desks that are 7/8 inch or 22mm thick. ## Print Details I printed the entire thing using ABS plastic, and it's incredibly sturdy. To add extra strength, I used a 20% infill for all pieces except the horizontal plate, which needed to be 100% infilled since it gets screws. The core was printed in normal "bottom-down" alignment, while the horizontal plate was printed with the grooves facing down to ensure precise screw holes. Here's a step-by-step guide: * Slather some glue on the core holder and slide it into place with the horizontal plate. * Next, insert the vertical supports into their respective grooves on the core, making sure they're fully in contact with the horizontal plate. ## Mounting Now it's time to mount this unit on your desk. Here's how: * Place the assembled unit on your desk where you want to mount it and mark the screw hole locations. * Set the unit aside and pre-drill the screw holes using a 1/8 inch drill bit. I used #8 x 1 inch pan head screws, so I predrilled the corresponding holes in the horizontal plate. * Put the unit back in place and screw it to the desk using the holes on the horizontal plate and the pre-drilled holes. While two screws might be sufficient, I opted for four to ensure extra stability and safety.
