desk lamp : portable & cordless
thingiverse
I'm looking for a portable lamp that can withstand rough conditions. It needs to be stable near my washer, sink, or desk, and preferably wireless. I'd like it to be easy to set up, too. Fortunately, I recently purchased four CAPSTONE LED Accent Light Bars with Remote Control Battery. Although they were originally intended as decorative lights, I realized I could repurpose them as a steady lamp. Each light bar features a built-in steel plate and comes with a flat magnet that can be attached separately. By sticking the magnet to my headphone stand, I was able to secure the light in place. The remote control is a nice touch, allowing me to adjust the lighting settings with ease. One of the best parts about this setup is that it's also a useful print for my Prusa MK3s 3D printer. My wife even gave it her seal of approval, which says a lot! In fact, I'm so pleased with this project that I'd like to share a tip: if you're planning to upgrade your Prusa MK3 to an MK3s, be sure to watch Chris Riley's video first. It took me over six hours to complete the upgrade, and let me tell you, it wasn't easy!
