This hook is specifically designed for IKEA glasholm tabletops, with their 9mm thick glass desktop in mind. To be precise, the glass thickness is actually around 8.5mm, but I've added a thin piece of rubber to prevent slipping issues. It's proven to be effective and I personally use it to hang my headphones in place.
