Desk Fan Incorporating Micro:bit
myminifactory
Stay cool this summer with this 3D printed desk fan! Simply plug your BBC Micro:bit into the base's slot, and use one of the codes listed below to turn it into a thermometer - activating it when things get too hot. You can hook it up to power at that point.\r\nhttps://www.microbit.co.uk/vnvltq\r\nhttps://www.microbit.co.uk/rcubrx\r\nThe blade connector and stopper have 2mm diameter holes, so if your DC motor pin is a different size, make sure to adjust accordingly. Get printing with the STL files from this page! I used crocodile clips, but soldering the wiring directly to the motor might be a better option - or you can connect both the Micro:bit and fan to the same battery pack.\r\nTo build it, you'll need:\r\n1 x 3D printer + filament\r\n1 x BBC Micro:bit\r\n1 x JST connector to battery pack\r\n4 x AAA batteries\r\n4 x wires\r\n1 x DC motor\r\nI'm curious about making this a Micro:bit controlled fan - if you have any ideas, let me know!
