Desk Drawers
thingiverse
This is a set of drawers I designed because nothing else fit quite right on my desk. Each drawer has exterior dimensions of 68x93x20mm, and the space between two interlocked drawers is just large enough for a thick USB cord to comfortably pass through. All of the drawers are interchangeable and swappable, their exterior sizes being identical, with the only difference being the number of compartments in each one. There are three different cases available, select the one you need. a) "Case Bottom - Begin Stack" is designed for the first course that will eventually be added to, with more bases to come. b) "Case Bottom" is ideal when a low profile is necessary. In my case, I needed them to fit under my monitor, so this design lacks vertical attachments. b1) "Case Bottom all holes" is an exercise in reducing filament usage. By packing holes into the part, the weight has dropped from 89g to 37g without a significant loss of strength. This has become my new default design to print. c) "Case Intermediate" is designed for vertical stacks, attaching on all four sides. Future plans include making larger cases for more drawers, particularly as I expand my system, and possibly some wider cases. Specialty drawers: Being modular makes it easy to adapt this system to one-off applications. The following are things I needed for some reason, all tested and proven to work. a) "Electronics Case" - I needed a small desktop 12v power supply so I designed this one, with mounts for a LN2596 as well as two standard keystones (I filled them with banana plugs for leads).
