Access to the desk requires Level 3 clearance and approval from at least two Level 4 personnel. Description: The model desk, designated as SCP-XXXX, appears to be an ordinary office desk made of wood and metal. However, upon closer inspection, it reveals several anomalies. The desk's surface is covered in a thin layer of dust, despite being stored in a climate-controlled environment. The dust particles are not organic, but rather a fine powder that seems to shift and move of its own accord. The model desk's most notable feature, however, is the series of small, intricate mechanisms embedded within its surface. These mechanisms appear to be clockwork devices, complete with tiny gears and springs. They seem to be designed to perform some sort of function, but their purpose remains unclear. When a person places their hand on the desk's surface, they will often experience a sudden, intense feeling of déjà vu. This sensation is accompanied by a brief, fragmented image that seems to be drawn from the viewer's own memories. The image is always of a specific moment in time, one that holds great significance for the individual. When questioned about these experiences, individuals will often report feeling as though they have "seen" something before, but cannot quite recall what it was. Further investigation reveals that the desk has been able to access and manipulate the memories of those who come into contact with it. Addendum: Following incident SCP-XXXX-1, it has been determined that the desk's anomalous properties are not limited to its surface mechanisms. The desk itself appears to be capable of altering its physical appearance at will, shifting between different configurations and designs with alarming speed. Incident Report: On//20, a researcher was observed attempting to access the desk while under the influence of heavy sedation. As he reached out to touch the desk's surface, it suddenly shifted into a new configuration, one that featured a series of sharp, jagged edges. The researcher's hand became trapped in the mechanism, causing severe lacerations and requiring immediate medical attention. Following this incident, all access to SCP-XXXX has been restricted until further notice.
