These hinges contain a hydraulic damper combined with springs to close the door. The damper only damps well in closing direction, the last part of closing. Spring force can be adjusted. See the renderings for a further explanation how it works. In general, I have taken in account the following rules: - Use as much standard components as possible (DIN screws, etc) - The model should be 'makable' (all parts can be made using mill- and lath machines) - All parts except internal spring, internal bronze ring. sealings and glass-protecting membrane can be made from stainless steel to prevent from corrosion - Re-using parts as much as possible. The damper-hinge contains the same parts as the spring-hinge. - Design is made so that it can easily be changed to a type-B door (replace wall mount with a long axis that can be fixated in 0, 60 an 90 degree angle, and we are there). - No calculations have been done yet (damping, strength, etc.). The design only shows the idea. - If a test hinge has to be created in order te test it, I can also help in that task. See my web-page: www.tec-V.nl
