This trendy, hand-held bowl is perfect for storing keys, wallets, office supplies, and more. The heart-patterned base adds a personal touch, making it ideal for keeping to yourself or gifting someone special. The contrasting voronoi pattern on top adds visual interest. If you decide to print this model, consider sharing a photo – I would greatly appreciate it! I printed this bowl using Ultimaker's white PLA filament and a 0.25mm layer height to speed up the process. An infill of 18% was used, along with a 0.4mm nozzle and a print speed of 60mm/s. Design Process: First, I created a base in Fusion 360 (150*2mm and round). Next, I chamfered the bottom. I downloaded my heart SVG and extruded it onto the bottom. Then, I entered the patch environment and made an offset plane 30mm higher than the ground plane where the sketched circle is. On that plane, I placed splines all the way around. Using the loft feature, I connected the bottom circle to the splines above and gave them a twist. The two bodies were saved as STL files on my laptop. In Meshmixer, I opened the top of the bowl and reduced the mesh using a brush. Then, I used the 'make pattern' function with double edges, creating a 3mm-thick voronoi pattern. The inspector function in Meshmixer was used to repair the file. Finally, I imported the bottom of the bowl and combined the two models. Keeping them separate prevented issues when making a voronoi pattern on the bottom as well.
