Design Bowl
myminifactory
This trendy and handy bowl is perfect for housing your keys, wallet, office tools, and more. The bottom features a heart pattern that adds a touch of romance to its design. You can keep this unique bowl for yourself or gift it to someone special. It also boasts an intricate voronoi pattern. If you decide to print this model, consider sharing a picture with me - it would truly make my day! Design Process I began by creating a base in Fusion 360, specifying dimensions of 150*2mm and a round shape. Next, I chamfered the bottom to give it a smooth edge. I then downloaded my heart SVG file and extruded it onto the bottom. Moving on, I entered the patch environment and created an offset plane 30mm above the ground plane where the sketched circle is located. On this plane, I drew splines all around the circle using the loft feature to connect the bottom circle to the splines above, giving them a twist as I went along. I saved both bodies as STL files on my laptop. In Meshmixer, I opened the top of the bowl and reduced its mesh with a brush to achieve a smooth finish. Then, I used the 'make pattern' function to create a voronoi pattern, specifying a thickness of 3mm. To repair any errors in the file, I utilized the inspector function in Meshmixer. Finally, I imported the bottom of the bowl and combined the two models, keeping them separate as adding a voronoi pattern to the bottom would have caused problems with the design.
