Desiccant Jar (Fast Vase Mode)
prusaprinters
This is a remixed version of my Part Jars with vented sides for holding desiccant beads to dry filament. The 54mm diameter x 52mm tall container should fit inside most spool holders. The container and lid print fast using spiral vase mode. The side vent design was derived from this video: Hacking Vase Mode - 3D Printing ExperimentsThere are two versions of the container, with or without bottom vents. The lid is vented but a solid lid version is available here. The bottom layer vents are recessed 0.6mm assuming a 0.2mm layer height with 3 bottom layers.Print Settings:Material: PLANozzle: 0.4mmLayer Height: 0.2mmLine Width: 0.5mm <== ImportantPerimeters: 1Bottom Layers: 3Infill: NoneSupports: NoneBed Adhesion: SkirtSpiral Vase: Enabled (Prusa Slicer setting)Spiralize Outer Contour: Enabled (Cura setting)Smooth Spiralized Contours: Disabled (Cura setting)Printing Orientation: Jars bottom-side down, Lids top-side down
