Desiccant containers for PrintDry
thingiverse
Stackable containers are designed to hold desiccant in PrintDry filament dryers, available in a variety of shapes and sizes. I began by creating thin round containers that fit between the spool's outer edges and the PrintDry walls, allowing for two spools plus a significant amount of desiccant to be stored within the unit at once. Next, I produced centerpieces to accommodate situations where only one spool is needed, enabling users to spread the desiccant over a larger area for faster drying. The main centerpiece is substantial and reaches nearly up to the surrounding thin containers, while the 198mm centerpiece fits on a 200x200 print bed. For a box with a mesh bottom, please refer to the print-settings notes below. The 89-degree and 119-degree models are designed to fit four or three containers around a spool, leaving only a minimal (1-degree) gap. In contrast, the 60-degree model did not include a tolerance gap; users may find it easier to use larger containers when attempting to encircle a spool completely.
