Desiccant Box
cults3d
The Short: A container for storing desiccant. I needed a solution to keep my filament dry in the printer room, so I purchased a bunch of desiccant, a pail, bags, humidity gauges, and a dehumidifier. This worked great, but after printing with each machine, I had to remove the filament and store it away. That's when I saw a picture of someone using an acrylic box on top of their spool holder. It was a simple yet effective way to keep the filament dry in its enclosure. I searched for a similar product that wouldn't break the bank, but most options were too expensive. I even found one online for 10 pounds in the UK, so $80 seemed unreasonable. Finally, I found this model that fits perfectly underneath my spool holder. It's designed to store desiccant and keep it dry. This box is a great addition to my printer room setup. It has three millimeter holes for screws, making it easy to secure without worrying about the kids getting into it. The design is straightforward, and I've tested it with success.
