The short: A box to keep desiccant dry. I stumbled upon an image online that showed a clever solution to a common problem in my printer room - a plastic container on top of the spool holder to cover the filament. As summer began, I was constantly battling humidity in my printer space. This led me to purchase bulk desiccant, storage containers, bags, and humidity gauges. Not to mention, a dehumidifier to keep things dry. Needless to say, the filament stayed drier as a result. The only hassle that remained was after each print job - I had to remove the filament and store it away safely. That's when the acrylic box came into play. It took some time to find one at an affordable price, but eventually, I did. The box is designed specifically to fit perfectly underneath my spool holder.
