16-NOV-2018 Update: Added Fusion 360 file, a bit of a mess since it was the first thing made using Fusion 360. Enjoy and please post as a remix if modifications are made. Created a holder/bin for silica bead desiccant that is easily removable to empty and refill. Designed for Rubbermaid 21-Cup dry food container and 200mm diameter spools. Time lapse video of bin build (8 hours): https://youtu.be/Rci9dPs7GbY BOM --------------------- * Gallon jug of silica gel color indicating desiccant http://a.co/25uxQe5 * Rubbermaid 21-Cup dry food storage container http://a.co/fOaVEI7 * M3 nuts (2) * M3x8mm (2) * 6mm Diameter x 2mm thick neodymium magnets (4) http://a.co/dUyhA78 Instructions --------------------- 1. Print all three parts. 2. Drill holes in container using the Mount part as a template. 3. Bolt mount in place. 4. Glue magnets into Cover and Bin, observing opposite poles attract. Loctite 401 CA glue works well. 5. Fill Bin with Desiccant and install. 6. Enjoy! Notes --------------------- There are two versions of the bin, one with holes as shown in pictures and one without holes in large spool clearance radius. Sometimes silica gel beads break and then fall through openings onto filament.
