I made do without 6mm ball bearings for the spool roller, opting instead for extra skate bearings I had on hand. To accommodate them, I modified the spool and shaft cones to ensure a secure fit. The bearings I used are available here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EPNN62M I also created a holder for a hygrometer, initially considering drilling a hole in the lid but ultimately deciding on a mount that snaps into the vent holes on the end caps.
