I did not have any 6mm ball bearings for the spool roller, but did have extra skate bearings. I modified the spool and shaft cones to fit them. I was going to drill a hole in the lid initially, but decided to make mount that snaps into the vent holes on the end caps. Here are the hygrometers used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GR65CNT
