Large rock incorporated into a boundary wall stands proudly on a small hillside platform. Among the many stones that make up the surrounding landscape, this boulder is particularly eye-catching and the carved designs become strikingly evident as one climbs up the hill. The designs are mainly concentrated on one half of the rock, centered around cup-and-rings motifs. It's worth noting that some patterns follow the top edge of the boulder, while others exhibit unusual shapes such as "almost square" cup-and-ring motifs. This is reference 394 from Byrne, E.; Egan, U.; Ronan, S.; Murphy, C.; Power, D.; McQueen, A.; Cronin, R.'s (2009) archaeological inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-west Kerry. Dublin: Government Publications.
