Derpy 3D printer
thingiverse
This printer is designed to be as affordable as possible under 120 dollars. It was thoroughly tested on design models and they performed well, but I'm unsure about dimensions because the screw rods are vibrating excessively. PLEASE POST MAKES Ramps box is customized: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:28210 Print Settings Printer: 3D Creality Resolution: .2 Infill: 10-20% Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Post-Printing What you need Approximately one kilogram of filament (about eight hundred grams) One meter M8 screw rod Several meters of 8mm smooth rods (in this case I didn't use hardened ones, only those from the hardware store - one dollar per meter) About ten M8 nuts Twenty M3 nuts A few M3 screws Approximately fifty M6x10 and M6x20 Arduino Mega 2560 with ramps 1.4 and drivers (look on eBay) http://www.ebay.com/itm/301754696422?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT J-head (not the makerbot small one) http://www.ebay.com/itm/282081935587?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&var=581032108842&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Three makerbot endstops 150W 12v power supply Aluminum right-hand extruder (eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/272363863219?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&var=571262076775&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT) 30-50cm PTFE 2x4 (1.75mm filament) NEMA 17 0.3/0.5Nm motors (0.5Nm for extruder and optionally could be for X and Y axis) Two 30x30 fans Mirror/glass/laminat/... (whatever you consider as the best build platform) Two cable grommets http://www.hellopro.co.uk/Mencom-2710-noprofil-1000840-11742-0-1-1-fr-societe.html Three springs (bed leveling) Aluminum plate 3mm thick Pneumatic connector for 4mm tube (2-4 LM8UU bearings) in case of vibration.-optional Finishing printed parts Everywhere where there is supposed to be a screw and there's not hole for nut you need to heat up that plastic part or screw using firestarter or boiling water, then screw the screw into. You need to apply similar thing with passive bearings (lozisko) mostly at extruder. You just print lozisko void of extruder and boil the water, then take 8mm rod, put bearing in water and wait about thirty seconds. Then try to slowly push rod into bearing while twisting the rod, twist it until the bearing cools down. If you have problems with these bearings you can replace them with LM8UU (recommended on Z axis on the side without motor)
