Derivative of Threadless ball screw.
thingiverse
I altered Mark's threadless ball screw design for direct bed attachment. The angle of the slope is 38.5 degrees, with a center distance of 9mm, identical to my LM8UU holder. I decreased the hole distance of the flange to 31mm and the thickness to 12mm, but have not tested it yet. I plan to use this as both X-axis and Y-axis on my printer, hoping for a positive outcome. The STL file was uploaded August 5, 2013 (labeled 20130802_threadless_38p5.stl). Additionally, the hole dimensions for 623 bearings were reduced from 3.4mm to 3.2mm. A YouTube video of a hand test was added on August 8, 2013 (http://youtu.be/TxOifzvnm70). Finally, the Inventor original source file was uploaded September 9, 2013 (20130802_threadless_38p5.ipt), with a requirement of 3 x 623ZZ bearings, 6 M3x10mm bolts, 5 M3 washers, and 6 M3 nuts for assembly.
