Derby walking cane
thingiverse
To save money, I opted for designing and printing my own cane using PLA on an H1 printer. I bought a $4 1" hardwood dowel from the hardware store and added rubber leg tips at just $5 for four. The printed cane has 30% infill and 6 loops, with layer height set to 0.025 in PLA. Support was set at 45 degrees and halfway on Kisslicer. Blue tape was used without a heated bed. After hand sanding with 200 grit, I painted the cane black and applied gatter grip onto a 1" hardwood dowel. Finally, two coats of stain and verithane were applied for added protection.
