Derailleur Hanger (2017 Norco XFR3)

Edit: I don't know why Thingiverse isn't taking that YT video out of the description. That is the video I was inspired by but it's not mine. Are you looking for a rear derailleur hanger for a 2017 Norco XF3 with a Shimano Acera derailleur? Well then, you are in luck, sir or ma'am! Inspired by Julian Goulding's 3D printed derailleur on YouTube. I have no idea why this guy stopped at zip ties. These prints will hold threads if you print them or you can print blank holes and cut threads. They won't strip if you don't use excessive torque. I used pretty much the same technique as the guy from above except in SolidWorks. I mainly posting here to spread the message and get more people trying them out. Photos are for detail. Basic process: -trace your bent or extremely over-priced hanger on a piece of paper. Unruled printer paper is best. -Scan your tracing with as high a resolution as possible. -Using SolidWorks "Sketch PIcture" function and your superlative sketching skills, make as perfect a sketch in SW as you can. -Extrude and cut as needed. -You can Insert > Features > Threads here if you want or make your holes the same diameters as the MINIMUM thread diameter for whatever hardware you're using and then cut threads with a tap. -Export as STL, print, fit, and make adjustments as needed. Don't print your test fits/prototypes at 100%. DO print your final product at 100%. I used PLA, the more rigid and hard the material you use, the better. Adding features is pretty easy. I plan on printing another that's a few mm thicker for rigidity and making the contact point for the b-screw more substantial. Have fun. P.S.- the derailleur this mounted has a bent derailleur cage. I'll update with performance once it's replaced (about a week).
