Bed Levelling Aid for 3D Printers. Customized for the Colido DIY System. Use Version 3 - slightly increase clearance to allow smooth movement of ruler part. To operate, visit eBay and purchase a digital tire depth gauge for approximately £3 (or $5 in the US). Disassemble it, discard two components, construct this device, attach it to the appropriate axis, and begin measuring. In my gauge, there was a small metal spring preventing the probe from dropping due to gravity - eliminating this appears beneficial. The two printed parts are designed for printing without supports. You will need to adjust the orientation as I have uploaded. This design should also work on a Makerbot as it seems to fit snugly. Please share your comments and suggestions for improvement.
