Deptford Rotherhithe Boundary Stone
sketchfab
On the Thames Path by St George's Square, where the marina meets the bustling waterfront of Deptford and Rotherhithe in London. A historic plaque catches the eye, its inscription a testament to the region's rich past: "BOUNDARY STONE. This stone proudly marks the dividing line between St Mary's parish in Rotherhithe and St Paul's parish in Deptford, a distinction that remained unchanged until 1899 when the Kent-Surrey boundary was redrawn. The stone itself has a storied history, originally situated on a bridge spanning Earl Creek, but relocated to its current spot in 1988."
