Deprime Test Object
thingiverse
Unraveling the factors contributing to stringing may appear complex; certain materials are more susceptible than others. To ensure your experiments yield accurate results, utilize this test object that examines stringing while maintaining surface finish. Lowering PLA extruder temp to 220°C and setting travel rate at 80mm/s have shown significant impact, accompanied by 2mm retraction and 16 steps of deprime. However, increasing deprime may be ineffective due to extruder max speed change/acceleration limits; adjusting these settings may require a trade-off. Alternatively, turning off the blower fan can reduce stringing but may cause small parts to melt, making it practical for large parts only.
