Parts to version 1 of the HPD competition F1 R/C car. This is version 1 of the car and has been replaced by HPD F1 V2.0. Discussion forum: https://plus.google.com/communities/117625327650679845498 Print Settings Printer: Velleman Vertex Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: The nose cone should be printed in PolyFlex, NinjaFlex or something similar. The front wing and front arms are exposed so you should consider using some stronger PLA for them. Post-Printing Additional things needed General stuff M3 screws in different lengths 10/12/14mm Tyres and wheels Rear Suspension An appropriate spur gear (69T 48pitch) and diff balls are required. A pinion (32T) is also necessary. Two ball bearings, 10x15x4mm, are needed as well as two more, 8x12x3.5mm. An axial bearing, 4x9mm, and diff washers from Serpent F1 (41186), are required. A M4 threaded rod, 150mm long, is also necessary. Two M4 nylock nuts are needed. An O-ring, 5/8" x 3/4", available on Biltema Art. No 86-829, should be used. A 56mm shock absorber (Hobbuking: 9315000155) and a 56mm side damper are required. Two side springs (Tamiya, Xray, Serpent) are also necessary. Front suspension A M4x30mm screw is needed for the front axles. Brass tube, 4mm inside 5mm outside, is also necessary for the front axle. Turnbuckles and ballends for steering should be used. Three millimeter steel rod is required. Four ball bearings, 5x10x4, are also necessary. The usual stuff A low profile servo is required. A servos saver (optional) is also necessary. An electronic speed control and a motor (21.5T is recommended) are needed. A radio and a short LiPo battery are required as well. A charger should be used. Car in action Change log 2016-06-10 Added a stronger rear wing to the car. A new body was added that allows for bigger lateral damper movement. The missing pivot ball for the rear suspension was added. Improved descriptions were made. 2016-07-04 F1.stl and HPD F1 V1.step files were added to visualise how the whole car looks and aid in assembly.
