Gypsum wall panel relief showcases a majestic sculpture of a winged bull adorning Sennacherib's palace. Depicted is a regal scene of royal inspection where the king stands proudly in his rickshaw, a chariot pulled by two dedicated servants, overseeing the work; another servant skillfully fans him, and a fourth holds a sunshade above his head to shield him from the elements. Inscribed on this relief is an ancient message written in cuneiform script that tells a story of its own. Hidden behind a reed thicket are three deer and a wild sow with her young, waiting to be discovered. Discovered in Sennacherib's South West Palace, Court VI (I), Nineveh, this incredible relief dates back to the time period between 700 BC and 692 BC. The dimensions of the far left panel measure an impressive height of 203.2 centimeters and a width of 199.39 centimeters. A significant inscription on this set reveals the transportation of colossal bulls from Balatai to Nineveh, adding another layer of intrigue to its rich history. This stunning relief was created using 229 high-resolution images captured with Sony A6000 cameras and processed in Agisoft Photoscan pro before being simplified in Meshlab for a breathtaking visual effect.
