I created these dental partial dentures by first printing the teeth and forming, then using a 3D pen with red gum color - or the closest pink I had available. I covered the form and shaped it to fit using a dermal and 3D pen, making sure to create an outer gum line that looks realistic. The final step is to dip them in acetone to smooth out any imperfections and make everything solid, then seal with food-safe urethane. To ensure complete safety, you should use PLA for all partial dentures, as it takes longer to smooth and form before sealing with Urethane. However, I'm not overly concerned about the supposed hazards of using ABS and acetone since they're completely sealed in food-safe Urethane. These dental partial dentures consist of 1-8 upper teeth and 9-16 lower teeth. I intentionally scaled the teeth a little short so that the original teeth can mesh together first, without putting pressure on the gum line of the dentures. I know it's possible to make real dentures using professional equipment, but after investing close to $250 in supplies, making your own is still a cost-effective option - especially when compared to paying $1000 per set for professionally made dentures.
