This dendrometer tube is used to measure tree growth by monitoring the expansion of the tree's circumference over time. As the tree grows, the inner tube moves along a scale marked on the outer tube, providing the user with a clear indication of the increased diameter. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer Model: Athena Rafting and Support Options: No rafts or supports are required for this print job. Resolution: 0.1mm Infill Percentage: 40% Notes: To minimize moisture absorption, increase the infill percentage of the dendrometer tube. Post-Printing Instructions: Materials Needed: * (2) 3mm x 25.4mm screws ($0.06 each) * (1) 7mm x 50mm bolt and nut ($0.50) * (1) 3/4" x 10' aluminum band ($2.50) * (1) Tape measure band ($1.00) Assembly Instructions: 1. Apply super glue to the inner tube guide and attach it to the outer tube. 2. Secure the guides on the inner tube with super glue. 3. Allow sufficient time for drying, then insert a screw into the hole of the inner tube to hold it in place against the band. 4. Insert the band tensioner and secure it with a screw through the hole on the outer tube. 5. Install the aluminum band according to the provided illustration. 6. Apply super glue to one of the hinge pieces and attach it to the back of the outer tube.
