Mount McKinley, also known as Denali in its native Koyukon Athabaskan language, is the tallest mountain peak in North America. Reaching an impressive summit elevation of 20,237 feet above sea level. At around 18,000 feet, the base-to-peak rise of this massive mountain makes it the largest situated entirely above sea level. When measured by topographic prominence, McKinley ranks third behind only Mount Everest and Aconcagua. Located deep within Alaska's vast interior, this mighty mountain serves as a centerpiece for Denali National Park and Preserve. Additionally, it is one of the seven iconic peaks known as the Seven Summits. Note: Scaled at 1/100,000 using Arc-Second (10m) Digital Elevation Model data sourced from nationalmap.gov.
