DemonDeltaTube Printer Update 08-03-2018 Added a carriage suitable for anti-backlash nuts. The carriage is 1mm shorter than standard to accommodate the antibacklash nut springs, which take up a small amount of space and affect leadscrew to nut alignment. See this detailed build log for more information: http://forums.reprap.org/read.php?178,802910,page=1 This repository contains all parts for this machine. Please attribute if you decide to emulate it. The extruder is not included in this repository; you can choose your own depending on your preferences. ABS and PETG are recommended due to the high temperatures inside the printer. Effector: Update 11-02-18 Added a hole in the effector for hotend wiring, which proved useful during assembly. This effector integrates Precision Piezo's Piezo20 nozzle contact sensor (requires a suitable amplifier like https://www.precisionpiezo.co.uk/product-page/copy-of-piezo-signal-pcb-kit-version) and a drilled 20mm piezo disc. Some modifications to the endstop cable headers are currently required for it to function properly. The effector is designed for genuine E3D V6 (with integrated miniature bowden coupler) and has recesses on the sides for bonding 30mm blower fans (https://www.precisionpiezo.co.uk/product-page/sunon-blower-radial-fan-5v). There's also space to attach a 30x30x10 fan from the E3D kit. This design is compatible with the 55mm spacing magball system (Haydn Huntley https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/deltabot/485cfVFrFFU/feT5lm8WfIwJ). Assemble the piezo sensor according to the documentation at https://www.precisionpiezo.co.uk/documents. Ensure that the magarms are arranged with negative and positive poles at the effector end on each pair of arms, so they attract each other when disconnected from the effector. This balances the magnetic fields around the effector and prevents the fans from stopping properly.
